In March 2016 the Association went through the rigourous assessment process associated with EFQM and were successful in obtaining a Four Star Accreditation. This met that we were the first Association in Scotland to get four stars or above in its first submission to for the accreditation.
In September 2014 the Association obtained a Gold Accreditation from Investors in People, the highest accreditation possible at the time. The Association had gone through a business improvement program prior to this award and had moved from Bronze to Gold in a matter of three years
The Association recognised that it could meet the needs of the community by delivering more than just social housing. Despite the welfare reform and cuts made central government the Association have in fact improved its rental income collection from its tenants. The Association made available to its customers money, benefit and debt advice to ensure they were well equipped to dealing with the change.
Port of Leith Housing Association run a employability program aiming to get young people into employment or education. Through this program the Association has supported over 500 young people, provided training and on the job training opportunities to develop and move them onto positive destinations.
The Association has maintained excellent satisfaction levels from its customers over the last five years despite the pressures put on social landlords budgets. The Association are proud to provide a service which our customers see as excellent and intend to continue and even improve on in the coming years.

We employ 80 members of staff in a variety of different roles including housing management, asset management, repairs and back office functions such as IT. Every member of staff is dedicated to meeting the Association’s goals set out in its business plan and delivering excellent services to customers.
